ABOUT POLLEN

A SMALL TEAM, CLOSE TO EVERY HIVE

Pollen takes its name from one of nature's quietest and most essential exchanges. Carried by bees from flower to flower, pollen connects the life of the hive to the landscape around it.

The idea for Pollen grew from a garden that felt strangely still. Learning about honeybees revealed a world of extraordinary intelligence, order and beauty, and transformed the way we looked at the garden around us.

We created Pollen to share that experience with other homes through considered, fully managed beekeeping. From the first site visit to the changing rhythm of the seasons, our aim is to make living with bees feel effortless, personal and genuinely enjoyable.

The result is about more than honey. It is the pleasure of watching a living system take shape, of seeing your garden through a different lens, and of feeling closer to the natural world just outside your door.

THE PEOPLE BEHIND POLLEN

Pollen is a small, dedicated team, kept deliberately so, shaped around each property and the natural rhythm of every colony.

Our hive work is led by a keeper, Jock, trained through the UC Davis California Master Beekeeper Program and a member of the Los Angeles County Beekeepers Association. The same familiar team returns throughout the seasons, learning the particular character of your garden and knowing the history of your hive.

From the care of the colony to the jars that come back to you, every detail is considered and handled by us.

OUR APPROACH

●

Beekeeping doesn't follow a fixed calendar alone. We work with the seasons, the conditions and the needs of each colony.

CARE THAT FOLLOWS THE COLONY

●

We stay close to the homes and colonies in our care. You have direct contact with the people behind the service.

PERSONAL BY DESIGN

●

Every property is considered individually. If we don't believe a hive can be comfortably and responsibly integrated into your garden, we'll tell you.

THE GARDEN COMES FIRST

●

Your honey reflects the landscape around your home, and is bottled in a Pollen jar bearing your address.
